Type 65 Coupe Complete Kit:   What You Get    

 

The Complete kit for the Type 65 Coupe gives you everything you need to build your car, in one big package.  The only things you’ll need are the engine/transmission, wheels/tires, and a paint job.

 

When we say everything, we mean it.  We include a ton of details like the original style headlamps with mini running lights and turn signals, seats, competition harness sets and original style air scoops.  We even powder coat the chassis standard in a beautiful gloss black that matches the coil springs and control arms.

  • Frame: Complete jig-welded original style 4” round tube frame, 95” wheelbase chassis.  Includes all mounts ready to accept small block Ford 302 and 351 engines.
    • Comes powdercoated in gloss black
    • Includes full cage and SCCA style rear crossbar in cockpit

 

  • Body:  Hand laid 3/16” laminate composite body  includes hinged nose, main rear clip and doors with hinged steel-framed lexan rear window.  Made with high quality vinylester resin. 
    • Driver and Passenger doors with molded door liners and DOT door latches
    • Front nose section with hinge kit.  Includes gas strut piston supports, fasteners and under nose body mount supports
    • Original style molded-in hood scoop and fog light recesses
    • Rear main body section comes with separate rivet-on rear spoiler.
    • Original style deck scoop and footbox vents.
    • Includes secondary body fasteners assembly.
      • Adhesive backed foam weatherstrip

      • Engine bay and rear trunk area seal, push on rubber bulb seal

  • Chassis Aluminum Panels: Includes over 20 precision CNC cut, pre-formed 6061-T6 aluminum panels for cockpit (floors, trans cover, and footboxes), rear trunk area, and engine bay/firewall/splash guards.
    • 1200 pre-packaged rivets 1/8” short & long, 3/16” short & long
    • Complete cockpit aluminum with pre-formed footboxes, floors and transmission tunnel. Includes speedo cable block-off plate and trans harness block off plates. Also includes aluminum dash w/cut-outs.
    • Engine bay aluminum assembly with aluminum radiator duct surrounds and splash guards.
    • Complete aluminum trunk area.

 

  • Complete Front Suspension:  Unequal length control arms with coil-over shock suspension.  Comes complete with all parts and fasteners. 
    • Koni brand high performance mono-tube, rod-end shock absorbers
    • Coil-over kit for Koni shocks including spring hat, threaded seat and 500lb. black powdercoated performance springs
    • Adjustable upper control arms with ball joints and fasteners
    • Lower tubular control arms with ball joints and fasteners
    • Grade-8 mounting hardware.

 

  • Complete Rear Suspension:  High-end 3-link deluxe rear suspension with new Ford Racing 8.8” rear solid axle/differential with posi-traction and 3.55 gears.  Comes with all fasteners and hardware required to install.
    • Factory New Ford Racing 8.8” traction lok solid axle rear end w/3.55:1 gears in 59.25” width (87-93 size), 5-lug.
    • FFR Deluxe 3-Link suspension kit w/rear-end brackets, upper link kit, fasteners, including panhard bar kit w/rod-ends and grade 8 fasteners.
    • Koni brand high performance mono-tube, rod-end shock absorbers
    • Coil-over kit for Koni dampers including spring hat, threaded seat and 350lb. black powdercoated performance springs
    • Factory Five tubular rear lower control arms, w/polyuerethane bushings and fasteners

 

  • Complete Front/Rear Brake Kit: Pre-flared brake lines
    • S/N 95 style spindles and spindle adapter bracket w/fasteners
    • Front hubs, fasteners and dust covers
    • Front Brakes, aluminum two piston PBR 11” front rotors w/calipers, brake pads and fasteners
    • Rear Brakes, 10.5” rear rotors w/calipers, brake pads, caliper axle mount brackets, and fasteners.
    • Master cylinders (listed in pedal box assembly), stainless braided brake lines, front and rear w/mount clips, banjo bolts and brake line mounting fasteners
    • Pre-flared 3/16” brake lines and brake line T-adapter
    • OEM Ford emergency brake handle, fasteners and cable

 

  • Complete Steering System:  Complete steering system using 15:1 manual rack from tie rod ends and fasteners to vintage steering wheel and badge.  Collapsible design.
    • 15:1 Aluminum manual steering rack w/inner and outer tie rod ends and fasteners
    • Polyurethane steering rack bushings and fasteners
    • Steering rack shaft adapter 9/16-26 spline
    • Lower steering shaft
    • Upper steering shaft, spring washers and fasteners
    • 14” Vintage wood and aluminum steering wheel w/boss and F5R center section and fasteners
    • Steering bearings and hardware, including 1” flange bearing, pillow block bearing and fasteners

 

  • Complete Fuel System/Parts:  Based on OEM Ford Mustang fuel tank and system, this assembly provides everything from the gas cap to the lines, and is designed to work with carburetors or fuel injection systems. External fuel pump required.
    • OEM Ford fuel tank w/mounting straps and hardware, vents, gaskets, pick-up and fuel level sending unit
    • Fuel lines, flex lines, unions and barb connectors and filler neck
    • Pre-flared fuel lines (1/4” and 5/16”) w/unions, barbs, hose clamps and high press flex lines and fasteners
    • Aston LeMans style polished aluminum fuel cap with integral plastic OEM style pressure cap, gaskets, ground strap, fuel hose to tank extension w/fasteners.
    • Fuel filter, connectors and hose clamps

 

 

  • Complete Cooling System/Parts: Electric cooling fan, thermostat, relays and mounting kit w/hardware.  Cooling system also includes stainless steel radiator hoses, and all necessary fasteners.
    • Electric cooling fan, high flow 16” puller, w/mounting kit and connectors
    • Aluminum radiator, in-line filler neck, and pressure cap
    • Radiator mount kit and fasteners

    • 31 spline 12.875” driveshaft for Tremec TKO 500 and 600 transmissions

 

  • Gauges and Dash and Electrical Assembly:  End those wiring harness woes, integrated harness and electronic gauges are just the start of this massive assembly.  Choose from vintage/replica or modern/ performance gauges to complement an authentic Coupe style dash. Complete assembly comes with aluminum dash, dash button, indicator lights, switches, and horn.
