Details on New GTM Transaxle
|
|||
| This 5 speed gearbox is designed as a bolt in replacement for the required G50 Transaxle in the mid-engine Factory Five GTM. The gearing, configured for a street driven car, is similar to a 1997 C5 Chevrolet Corvette without the 5th gear ratio. This allows for a great all around set of gears for street, light track duty and highway fuel economy. It has been set up to be run as shown above (inverted Porsche), and uses the Quaife ATB differential, maximizing traction and minimizing wheel spin. | |||

In recent years the advantages of the Quaife ATB Helical LSD differential have been exploited by original equipment manufacturers in both front- and rear-wheel drive applications. These include:
It is an all gear differential for the ultimate in performance. For more details on how the Differential works, please click here. |

This transaxle is custom made solely for Factory Five Racing by Quaife Engineering in England. Quaife is well known in European Motorsports and has been making gears, transmissions and differentials since 1965. |

Click here to place your order. Guys, This transaxle is a very high-end part that normally retails between $10k and $13k. To accomplish the prices needed to help guys build their GTMs we have some tough requirements to meet, so I want to make the terms clear. First of all you have to pay for the part in full, and then WAIT for between 3 and 6 months! Your money will be put in an escrow account where it will remain until you receive your transmission. Second of all, there are no refunds on these orders as we are committing a huge amount to the initial order. Third, these parts are designed for 750 hp and 500 lb/ft torque, however the manufacturer warranty covers engine applications up to 550 hp. Lastly, we reserve the right to cancel and refund your order for any reason. Dave Smith |
