SEMA 2008 Official Public Launch
New Factory Five '33 Hot Rod

The newest member of the Factory Five family joins our ranks officially next week as we introduce the new Factory Five ’33 Ford Hot Rod to the World at the 2008 SEMA show.

Right now we have two newly-built cars on their way to the 2008 SEMA show and will be bringing you exciting news and information on each as the show opens up next Tuesday.

The very first production Factory Five '33 Hot Rod (serial #F5R1000001HR) will debut in the Factory Five booth at SEMA 2008.

Next week, coordinated with the public launch of the car at the SEMA show, we will begin shipping production kits on a regular schedule. We are all very excited about the launch of this newest kit and are making a special offer. The first 25 customers who order their Factory Five ’33 will receive a free hardtop (option price $1795) with their order.

Production News/Reviews:
If you remember we began this product launch in a slow and deliberate way.  Last summer we delivered four “beta” kits to a hand-picked group of customers to test out the design and help finalize the assembly procedure.  The work done by the Beta team has been invaluable and their feedback has been incorporated into our new assembly manual that is available now.

While the first 4 “beta” kits were delivered this past summer, early production kits began shipping a few months ago to FFR stalwarts Bill Peirce from TGB Scooters (c/o Wayne Presley), Langley Kersenboom at LK Motorsports, Jeff Collins and the crew at Whitby Motors, to name a few.

We begin full-scale production on Monday November 3, 2008.  The first few weeks are already scheduled and deposits taken will be for the remaining dates in November and into 2009.

As of now we have delivered 16 kits total. Tremendous thanks to our Beta guys and early production customers for all their hard work and patience in proving and vetting the design and assistance with the assembly manual.

Chassis number 19 is in the jig.

Our brand new '33 Hot Rod kit is covered In the January 2009 Issue of Street Rodder Magazine, on newsstands now.  Writer Chris Shelton did a comprehensives six page article, complete CAD drawings and high-res photos.  We will be scheduling a road test with the boys from Street Rodder shortly.

"...The design has an incredible structural integrity, and while it looks massive, it is very light..." - Chris Shelton, Street Rodder

One of the kits on the schedule for next week will be going to Rob Kinaan, editor of Hot Rod Magazine.  The magazine is doing a comprehensive build-up story on the new FFR 33 with a hard-core road test to follow.  Stay tuned to Hot Rod magazine for full details.

In a few short days, full details on our fleet of two SEMA prepped '33s will be published to our website.  The first car featured above (red Coupe) is powered by Ford's new Boss 347 engine and sports a performance 3-link rear suspension, Koni inboard shocks, Alcon high end brakes, iForged Seneca Wheels, and Toyo Race Compound Proxes tires.

Full details on car #2 will be released from the SEMA show next week along with our special introductory offer.
