Factory Five Sponsors and Partners

In more than 12 years of working in the automotive and aftermarket parts business, we have been fortunate to work with some fantastic companies.  The companies listed below are known and trusted by us and we feel fully confident in sending our valued customers to them.

The companies on this list have earned their place here by providing better products at better prices with the highest levels of customer service to the Factory Five community.  They are not paid advertisers and we list them in order to help our customers.

Ford Racing Parts

We've been working with Jesse Kershaw and the great crew at Ford Racing for years.  From crate engines to alternate drives and accessories, Ford Racing is one of the best places to buy your running gear.  The president of Ford Racing Jamie Allison owns and drives a Factory Five Type 65 Coupe.  Ford Racing uses Factory Five cars to showcase their products at national shows and events.

Five Star Ford
We buy a lot of parts from Ford Racing direct as well as from Five Star Ford, an authorized Ford Racing dealer.  In our experience, Max and his team at Five Star Ford are simply the best.  There are many good Ford Racing dealers, but in our opinion Max at Five Star understands and serves the Factory Five community better than any of them.

Koni Shocks

Since 1995 we have used a number of different shock absorbers in our racing programs and on our street cars.  After all those miles, one company has consistently risen to the top.  Jim and the engineers at Koni have worked closely with our engineers to develop shocks for our cars that deliver great handling, performance, and durability.  Made in the U.S.A. parts, a strong commitment to the racing community, and great customer support put Koni on top of our list.  Koni shocks are standard in the NASA Challenge Series.

N.A.S.A. Pro Racing

We've raced with a number of clubs and racing organizations from SCCA to local clubs like COM, PCA, and BMW Club of America.  In our opinion, Jerry Kunzman and his organization at NASA (National Auto Sport Association) is one of the best places where you can go if you want to race.  NASA is the sanctioning body for the FFR Challenge Series and we have been racing with NASA since 1997.  If you're interested in taking your car to the next level, NASA hosts national and regional events that open to the first time amateur autocrosser or seasoned road racers.

iForged Wheels
iForged Wheels are the only wheel we sell for our GTM Supercar.  iForged Wheels have won awards at SEMA and are generally regarded as one of the highest quality supercar wheel available anywhere.  Vince at iForged Wheels owns and drives a Factory Five and supports the Factory Five community.

Toyo Tires
Toyo is the official tire of the Factory Five Challenge Series.  Every car at Factory Five wears Toyo tires.  Factory Five President Dave Smith runs Toyo Proxes R888 tires on his personal GTM and will not run any other.  Toyo's website is  helpful in determining tire sizes/applications and the crew here at Factory Five is ready to help you determine which tire is best for use on your car.

Whipple Superchargers
We've used almost every supercharger on the market today.  Many of them are very good. We have a Vortec S-Trim blower on one of our Coupes and our GTM rolling chassis sports a Magnuson blower on a LS1.  Ahead of all of them though are the products made by Whipple.  Whipple Superchangers are  used by Ford Racing and we have three of them in our cars.  They are easy to install and their tech support is solid.

APR Performance

Don’t just wing it with any after market company.  APR Performance carries top of the line carbon fiber accessories for our flagship GTM Supercar.

Hewlett Packard
Some years back, the marketing guys at Hewlett Packard approached us and asked for our help to participate in their latest advertising campaign.  In exchange for the help, they set us up with an array of top end HP workstations.  If that's all there was to the story, we wouldn't have them on this list.  Since then, our experience with HP has been phenomenal. Great customer support, stable platforms, and a real sincere effort to provide service in an industry known for products that don't always work.  We use HP quad-core technologies to do simultaneous product design and analysis on the same workstation.

TGB Scooters

When gas prices went thru the roof, everyone began buying Chinese made scooters.  Back in 2001, we began working with Bill Pierce and TGB Scooters.  TGB is the official pit bike of Factory Five and they sponsor our national Challenge Series.  The scooters are made in Taiwan and are one of the few imported Chinese scooters that are not made of pot metal.  Bill Pierce, owner of the Factory Five customer discussion forums, is also President of TGB's American operations.  Bill knows the Factory Five community, is an extremely trustworthy businessman, and is a tremendous supporter.

Mott Community College
For more than ten years, the team at the M-Tech facility in Howell, MI have been teaching people how to build their own Factory Five.  Run by Mott Community College, the Factory Five build school is an intensive three day hands-on class where small groups of students are taught by professional automotive instructors how to build a Mk3 Roadster.

Carl’s Collision Center
Located in Fall River, MA, Carl's Collision Center is not your run of the mill body shop.  The massive 65,000 square foot facility is a certified BASF paint training center and  does everything from factory authorized high end collision repair for Mercedes-Benz to concourse level frame up restoration and paint work.  Carl's has painted SEMA winning Factory Five's.

J. Miller Customs - Located in southern California, Jeff Miller, a.k.a. "Batman", has painted a good number of Factory Five Roadsters and now Hot Rods.  His paint work is top notch and his reputation is beyond reproach.  Most recently, Jeff painted a tribute car to Dick Smith, #198, and a hydrogen powered Hot Rod that was featured at SEMA 2008.
