The red and silver Challenge Series Racer shown here was built by FFR engineer Dave Riha.  Dave races regularly in the FFR-NASA Challenge Series.  He has won numerous races including the 2004 Charlie Gibson 300 Enduro (he finished second place in class in 2005).  Dave's Challenge car was built to meet the exacting rules of the series which means he is powered by a stock 302 cu in small block Ford with fuel injection and EECIV computer.  The car runs a solid axle three-link rear end with stock 2.73 gears and stock Mustang brakes with a rear disc brake conversion as allowed by series rules.
