Jim Schenck gave his Challenge car a slick paint job
using the Nissan 350Z blue with Corvette Millennium yellow stripes. The
engine is a stock 1988 Mustang 5.0 with a Tremec 3550 transmission with a mid-shifter
set-up. Jim uses Simmons F-series 17" x 9" wheels with stock front brakes
and a Disk Brakes R-Us rear conversion kit. For the suspension, Jim uses
the Spec Bilstein shocks with 700 lb. front springs and 500 lb. rear
springs. It is built following the Challenge Series rules which has lead
Jim to win 1st place in class at the 2005 Charlie Gibson 300 and 2nd
place overall. Jim holds Challenge series track records at Lowes and
Nashville infield road courses. |
