FFR Wins 2005 Editors Choice Award!

“Fire-Breathing Spec Racers for Those

Who Appreciate a Good V-8!”

Grassroots Motorsports, Feb 2006

The Feb 2006 issue of GRM awarded Factory Five Racing and our growing Challenge Series the coveted “2005 Editor’s Choice Award”  as one of the top 20 things that “set the race world on fire”.

Every year as more and more drivers have joined the series, the competition has become fierce.  Despite that intense competitive streak, the hallmark of the series has been the exceptional fellowship that drivers and teams have on and off the track, as well as the passion that all of us share for these special cars.

The Challenge Series has been a massive five-year project that is still underway and growing.  The benefits of the series cannot be overstated, but at a minimum it has transformed Factory Five from being a leading kit manufacturer, to becoming a legitimate race car manufacturer and designer with engineering capabilities that are unmatched in the replica/kit world.

The engineers and race drivers at FFR have received hugely valuable feedback, criticism and ideas from a group of the most positive, motivated and intelligent people in the world, our race customers.  We send out a special thanks to all of those who have helped build the series.  Along with that thanks, goes our commitment to keep the car design and series rules faithful to the original goals of exciting, affordable, and safe racing.

We are really proud of this recognition and thankful to the great teams and drivers who campaign our cars at NASA races around the country and thruought the year.  Hold-on tight because while the last five years have been exciting, this coming year promises to be the best ever as NASA will be hosting it’s first ever National Championships to be held at Mid-Ohio in September!  We will be there in force and the future of the series has never been brighter!
