Factory Five Spec Racer Worth The Gamble?

The current April 2004 issue of Grassroots Motorsports on the newsstands now answers the question…

“Was our Factory Five Racing Spec Racer worth the Gamble?”

The article discusses the GRM sponsored car that ran at last year’s FFR Nationals (Nov 2003) and earned second place overall with young gun Spencer Sharp behind the wheel.

“Eighteen months after building our car, we were about to learn if our gamble would pay off…  …The car had earned seven wins in seven starts during NASA’s 2002 season, not bad.

Also featured in the SpeedNews section of this months copy is a review of the FFR Nationals finals race and event at Las Vegas Motorspeedway.

We are huge fans of this magazine.  Editor Tim Suddard grew up here in Massachusetts and has a genuine passion for amateur racing.  It is a special magazine for many reasons but the hands-on tech features and no-BS writing earns them high marks for hardcore car guys.

“This is the way National-level racing used to be, before too many factories and techno-geeks got involved.  This is a driver’s series, as it should be.”

We send out a big thumbs up and car-guy thanks to the editor and staff at GRM.  Pick up your copy of GRM and find out why “The Hardcore Sports Car Magazine” is your best source for news and events in the world of amateur racing.
