Kurt and Karl Gess developed a passion for cars like
many other young boys do, spending some evenings and weekends in the
garage working on cars with Dad. But mostly they spent that time sharing in
his passion for airplanes, building and flying airplanes before they even
learned to drive a car.
They also had their share of muscle cars during their
teen years including a 1971 Chevelle SS 396 Convertible, a 1969 Mach I
Mustang and a 1969 GTO Judge. Since then they’ve had Vettes, Mustangs, and
Motorcycles.
They’re just a couple of guys that have a love for
cool cars and fast transportation.
They built their first FFR Roadster (FFR1109K) in the
winter of 96-97, and that’s the one they still drive regularly. Since
then we have built over a dozen Roadsters and have been involved in
helping other clients with rolling chassis, paint work, and other
miscellaneous projects relating to all aspects of the build of Factory
Fives. "We always have a car (or three) in process in our shop, and we
welcome people to swing by and visit at any time."
Gess
Motorsports opened in the summer of 1998, quietly building one Roadster
after another, controlling growth and increasing quality with every
build. It’s still a part time operation, but their list of (extremely)
satisfied customers will assure you, that it was definitely worth the
wait. Kurt and Karl take pride in working closely with each customer to
ensure the finished car is exactly what was desired, and is built with the
passion that any skilled craftsman has for his art and trade. |
