Built by Barry Brown, Riter Restoration

Barry Brown’s company “Riter Restoration” built this show-winning Coupe for customer Jim Allen.

DEC 22, 2004

Factory Five customer Jim Allen bought his FFR Type 65 Coupe close to New Years in 2003.  Two years later the car won both the Rochester Street Machines Nationals car show as well as earning a second place award at the Syracuse Street Rod Nationals where it was the feature car in the PPG Show booth.  To top it all off, Jim’s car was signed by automotive legend Brock Yates!

Jim’s car features a 392 (stroked 351) Windsor engine with a Victor Jr. intake and Demon 750 carb producing 467 hp with 460 ft lbs torque on engine dyno.  Jim prefers the mid-shift Tremec.  The car was completed days before its first show win and is now racking up miles on the street.

The car features an FFR IRS suspension package with 13”/11” brakes by SSBC and 17” PS Engineering Wheels.  The interior work was completed by Steve’s Custom Interiors.

Congratulations to Jim and his crew for building a car that makes us proud!
