Bill Scholl of St. Louis, MO was the latest of the
FFROGs who went to the event to school the other replica owners. With a
slightly modified 289 powered roadster, equipped with the FFR-signature
3-link rear suspension upgrade, Bill was able to pull the whole field
(as well as pull his wheels off the ground!).
Bill carries on the FFR customer tradition of
winning at Run and Gun. This tradition dates back to guys like Greg
Lapoint (the original wheelie man), Pete Tork, Don Gibson, Richard Oben
and others (oops, forgot FFR’s Mark Smith King of the Hill in the
wrecked X-car from 1998). |

His numbers were impressive, running 10.88 sec. ¼
mile passes at nearly 120 mph.
By the end of the three day competition, Bill had
netted awards in the following categories…
1st Place Drag Racing
1st Place Quick 8, Drag Racing
3rd Place King of the Hill |
