Joe LaPorte built his Mk3 Roadster in only four months to the day. His
kit arrived at his house on November 6th and he got right to work on the
7th. By March 7th, he had completed his build. Joe told us that he'd get
up with his wife and while she headed off to work, he headed off to the
garage to work on the car. Some days he would get so involved in the
project that he was shocked when his wife got home from work and told
him that is was already 5:30 P.M.
Joe did a straight donor build using
a 1995 Mustang GT for the parts. He used 17" OZ wheels, Ultra-Lite
gauges, and power steering. One of the most unique of features on Joe's
Roadster is the two additional driving lights he installed on the front of
his car.
It was obvious that Joe had a lot of fun building his car as he was
filled with fun stories to tell us. Great work Joe!
