Over the Patriot's Day weekend, we received a very interesting e-mail from Alec Karacsonyi. Alec and his two sons, Alex and Eric, built a MkI Roadster and continue to enjoy it together. Here is the e-mail that Alec sent us.

On a damp New England Wednesday morning, April 19, 1775, at 6 a.m., the Action Minute Men gathered in front of Captain Isaac Davis's home preparing to march to Concord.

It was Captain Davis, a gunsmith from Acton, Massachusetts, that lead his men down a dirt road to the North Bridge and into history, where they became responsible for the "Shot Heard Round The World"!

In that tradition Alex and Eric Karacsonyi carry on the same heritage being direct descendants of Isaac Davis. Both are involved in Boy Scouts serving their community and country (Alex is an Eagle Scout and Eric is on his way), competition shooting, and are partly responsible for the "Rumble Heard in North Haven", Connecticut.

The rumble we are talking about is a FFR MkI #2812 that both boys helped their dad build several years ago. Eric eagerly awaits his driver's license and Alex can't wait for school break to come home and stand up to the foreign cars within our community (Alex is a 4th class Midshipman going to school at the United States Naval Academy).

Just thought you'd like to know how Factory Five fits into our US history!

Thanks for the story Alec and glad to see that you and your sons are enjoying the car.
