Customer Profile Ken Bush

FFR 4530RD, El Cajon, CA

When you’re not married, the “honey do” list is much shorter, but the drive for projects is still just as strong – only their all yours.

Ken Bush, still single at 46, for example, is one busy guy.

He’s a key member of the Baja Fools, a pit crew supporting Baja 500 and Baja 1000 Off Road Races. He also builds custom fishing rods, and gets out on the ocean for big game fishing as often as he can.

When Ken saw a photo of a set of Candy Red rims in a magazine ad, he started to visualize them as the base of a tricked-out, “modern twist on a classic car”.

In November of 2004, Ken took delivery of FFR 4530, and although he didn’t have a garage to build it in, he set out to complete the car exactly as he had visualized it.  Luckily, he had a friend who had built a new garage and was willing to part with a portion if it so that Ken could build his “part Roadster, part Hot Rod, part road beast”.  Ken also knew a few guys that were willing to lend a helping hand when necessary.

In nine short months he completed his work of art, complete with some of the nicest, custom modifications we’ve seen.

Along the way, Ken managed to install “all the goodies”, including:
