Customer Profile Mike Gentile

FFR# 4260

After many hours and a lot of money spent, Mike Gentle can only say that the first drive of his Roadster "was a feeling of a lifetime." He brought it down to the 2005 FFR Nationals this year to show off all the work he did.

After 26 months and well over 2,300 hours of work, Mike completed the build. It has a lot of custom made parts and features that he says drove his build. The engine is a FMS 392 with AFR 185 heads. He used the Tremec TKO transmission with Mcleoud steel bellhousing, King Cobra clutch, and Pro shifters. The rear end is a Ford 8.8 with the FFR 3-link, Auburn Pro Posi differential, FMS 3.55 gear set, Moser axles, and FMS cover. Mike used the Team III 17x9.5 wheels in front and 17X1 in rear with Cobra R 13" brakes in front and 11" in the rear.

Mike installed the Autometer Ultralite gauges and Sube Cobra Classic seats that were modified to fit closer to the trans tunnel. Not only that, but he installed seat heaters and covered them in black leather. Plus he made modifications to the door panels to match the seats. The frame was powder coated silver vein with clearcote and the aluminum panels are all bright dipped anodized. He used the Flaming River sterring rack with offset bushings and bump steer kit.
