Mirko Chardin is an over-achiever – he’s a 24 year old History Teacher at one of the new Boston pilot middle school in Dorchester, MA.  In his “spare” time he runs a men's support group called "Gideon's Army", and also serves as a mentor/big brother to many of his students.

But at his core, Mirko is a motorhead who has dreamed of building his own car since he was introduced to toy models and gas powered R/C cars at age 13.

During his sophomore year in college, he stumbled onto the Factory Five website, and like a man possessed, he knew a Factory Five was in his future.

In February 2004, he attended the Factory Five Build School at Mott Community College, and didn’t waste any time getting his kit ordered after the seminar was finished.

“I've been having the time of my life building this car and have incorporated tons of mod's during the process. I even have some of my students stop by after school and on the weekends to help-out!” exclaims Mirko.

His plan has always been to build a very non-traditional car, so he started off by choosing an “out of the ordinary” drivetrain.  When Factory Five launched the Mark III series, Mirko was one of the first to jump on board – he was ready for the transition, and itching to get his SOHC 4.6 engine (rebuilt with new ported Cylinder Heads, Ferrea Stainless Steel Valves, 7000RPM Springs, PowerHeads Performance's Hot Street Cam (.540’’X .540’’X 215d@.050’’x 114 lsa)).

Other mod's include Trick Flow Intake Plenum, Ceramic Headers, PA Performance 130Amp Custom Powder Coated Alternator and High Torque Mini-Starter, BBK Polished under-drive pullies and March S.F.I. Harmonic Dampner, Custom Aluminum valve covers, Quality Roadsters A/C and heat system, front mount Hawker Oddessey dry cell battery, Lokar E-brake handle to tranny tunnel, Custom T-45 Mid-shift kit, IRS, Simple Digital Systems (SDS) Stand Alone Engine Management System, Painless 18 Circuit Chassis Harness, 19 inch G-Games wheels.

He is also planning on running a Kenwood navigation system in a custom polished aluminum console to be placed right below the Carbon Fiber dash.

The chosen color scheme will be Titanium Silver, with Bright Red Stripes and Carbon fiber accents in the form of a CF hood scoop, side mirrors, spats and front spoiler.

Except for the paintwork, Mirko is a one-man building crew, and is proud of all of his achievements to date.

The Mirko-mobile has already reached a level unmatched by many builds around the world, and we’re certain that when it’s done, it will be a force to be reckoned with on the street, the track and at the show circuit.
