Racing World Loses a Legend and We Lose a Friend

Tragic news that our dearest friend and hero has died.  All of us at Factory Five Racing are terribly sad to report that Dick Smith died yesterday April 18, 2007 along with his 16 year old step son Kyle in a plane crash near Tahachapee pass in California.

Dick was a dear close friend of all of us here at Factory Five Racing and someone who was a very good personal friend of mine.  I have nothing to say but that I loved him very much and he embodied everything that I admire about a man.  He will be so terribly missed and there will never be another person like him.
