Day-By-Day Build-up of the new GTM

Week of March 20-24

Left:  FFR Tech Support crew gather to build a GTM in a week.  Right: 5 days later, a runner sans body!

A week has gone by with our dedicated and loyal FFR tech guys training on the new GTM kit.  The guys have done a great job of building the car.

Starting with a bare kit and Corvette parts on Monday morning, the four man team of Mark Dougherty, Lenny Gerard, Joe Fournier, and Bob Kay, have gotten as far as they can go, until the body comes back from the body-shop.

At 12:00 noon on Friday the guys test drove the running, driving go-cart.  The rest of the day will be spent installing the seats, carpet, dash and engine cover.  The body was fit and mounted earlier in the week and is in the trailer, to be dropped off at the body shop on Monday.

While the car isn’t 100% complete, the guys have done everything up to the point of installing the finished, painted body.  The guys worked closely with the engineers on any questions, followed the manual to the letter (helped make some important changes along the way) and had a great time, showing true team spirit.

We are proud of our tech guys and know that they are one of the reasons that FFR is successful.  Thank you to our patient customers for allowing us this week of training and in-service.

Below are folders of photos with text that highlight the build-up each day.
