Kettering vs. University of Michigan vs. MIT

Aaron Silidker (left), Chris Coleman (right) and Nat Young (absent) make up the 2005 FFR Summer Interns

Continuing our long-standing tradition of hiring interns for summer work, we welcome three bright young men to our team for the 2005 summer session here at the Factory.  This year’s crop of interns come from three different schools, The University of Michigan, Kettering College, and MIT send us their finest.

Here is the breakdown:

Aaron Silidker

Mechanical Engineering Major, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, MI.

Aaron has built (and drives) his own FFR roadster.  Aaron will be overhauling the FFR Parts & Options catalog this summer as well as assisting with misc. manufacturing engineering projects and helping with the GTM project.

Chris Coleman

Mechanical Engineering Major, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), Cambridge, MA.

Chris has also built his own FFR roadster and attends MIT full time.  Chris is charged with re-writing ALL of FFR’s technical documentation, instructions and reviewing part numbers, configurations and assemblies.  Chris will also be doing assorted engineering projects in the GTM area.

Nat Hunter (no photo)

Mechanical Engineering Major, Kettering College, Flint MI

Nat will start out in the GTM area working as one of the development engineers.  He is focusing on the assembly manual, pilot production and small assembly design.

In related news, Eric Jacobs is joining the FFR engineering team full time as a fresh college graduate from Union College, NY.  You may recall Eric was an intern last summer (FFR welcomes Eric Jacobs). Eric has built (and recently sold) his own FFR and now has completed his second car an FFR Challenge Series Racer.  Eric plans to compete this season in the FFR Challenge Series on the East Coast.
