We are car guys.  We eat, sleep, and dream about cars.   Our company, Factory Five Racing, is the result of this shared obsession.  Hopefully, as you read this information, you’ll discover that we are a very different sort of company.

For us, Factory Five Racing is the culmination of a dream.  Out of the doors of our company come not only great performance products, but also our vision of what a company can stand for and what it can accomplish when freed from the constraints of convention.   

Having both come from corporate America and having worked for large companies, my brother Mark and I wanted to try and build a different sort of business.  There are no titles here, no middle managers and no corner offices.  There are no salesmen here and no commission checks.  In this place every day we do something better and everyone reports to one person, the customer. 

The business principles of FFR reflect our own personal ethics.  Since our start in 1995 we have hired engineers, professionals, craftsmen and people who are driven by doing what they love, not what will make them the most money.   We are collectively committed to excellence in our thoughts, actions, in our work, and in our personal lives.  Business success is inseparable from the moral obligations that success brings.  Hard work, honesty, teamwork, responsibility to others and community… These aren't just things to be put on motivational t-shirts and coffee mugs, but rather the tenets of the only kind of success that matters.    

If our philosophy has guided us along the way, it is the products that provide the punch.  FFR is much more than just an icon.  We have revolutionized the industry with component kits that deliver real value and performance in a kit-car world accustomed to second rate everything.  We use today’s technology to deliver world class parts at a price that ordinary people can afford.  Take a close look at our products and you’ll see years of engineering work, unique innovative designs, and high quality construction. 

We’ve put together this information package to help you understand who we are, what we do, and why.  We want to clearly describe our products and provide you with the information you need to make the important decision about where you’ll spend your hard earned money.  It may be too long or have too many details but we figured more information is better than less.  Especially when you consider that these are not projects to be undertaken without careful thought and planning. 

Building your own car puts you in a special and exclusive club.  It is special and exclusive for very good reasons.  You have to earn your way in with skill, determination, late nights, skinned knuckles and understanding wives (and husbands!). There is a huge community of FFR customers, supporters, enthusiasts and the best people in the world waiting to welcome you to the club.   

We believe that to build and drive your own car is to take part in a truly American heritage.  It goes back in time to great Americans like Miller, Gurney, Brock, Bondurant, Miles, Cunningham, Donahue, and others.  People who, with ingenuity and hard work, built and drove machines that made the rest of the world stop and take notice.  If you buy a kit, we hope you entrust us with your business.  Regardless of where you buy, we are proud to share this heritage with you and look forward to seeing you at the next red light.
