Dave Smith's FFR Coupe

FFR3034CP Coupe owned by FFR President Dave Smith

Built by Whitby motorcars for FFR owner Dave Smith, this FFR Type 65 Coupe is painted Chrysler “Patriot Blue” and features top-of-the-line running gear and parts.

The engine is a 525 hp Roush 402R engine that packs 500 ft. lbs. of torque.  The power runs thru a Tremec TKO transmission and ends with an 8.8” 3.27 diff in a FFR IRS rear suspension package.

Interior is pure vintage with classic gauges, leather seats and dash, and air conditioning.

The wheels are 17” pin drive PS Engineering with Kumho Victoracer V700 tires in 315R17 rears and 275R17 fronts.  Side exhaust is silver powder coated by Jet Hot.

The aluminum is slightly polished by hand for a vintage feel.  The Ford 392 crate engine lasted 20 minutes before blowing up and was replaced with the more dependable Roush 402R unit.
The car was slightly damaged while “El Presidente” was driving at Waterford Raceway in August 2003.  After the wreck it was decided to totally re-build the car with aftermarket Roush performance parts.  The resulting car was displayed at the 2003 SEMA show and has become known as the FFR-Roush Coupe.
