Joe's FFR Prototype Coupe

FFR1001CPX    Customer Joe Gouveia, New Bedford, MA

Joe Gouviea of New Bedford, Massachusetts works in a family business, supplying grocery stores in Southern New England with Portuguese specialty foods.  Joe has made many deliveries in this unique blue and white vehicle (cuts down on the travel time but doesn’t do much for carrying capacity).
Truth is Joe has built a handful of FFR roadsters for customers and friends in the area under the part-time business banner NorEast Roadsters.  With busy work during the day and a full garage of projects at night Joe confided that he wouldn’t get to build a Coupe any time soon.  The opportunity lay in an old race car that had been used for R&D and was lying in pieces at Factory Five, sort of neglected and forgotten. 9751.jpg (35537 bytes)

Joe made an offer for the remains of the car and three months later this car emerged.  The car has a 400 hp 347 cu in small block ford with 17” pin drive wheels and BF Goodrich Comp T/A R1 tires (bought from Tre Rack as a close out for $80 each!).

The car is equipped with air conditioning and a full leather interior.  You can see the thing blasting up and down the local streets of New Bedford on almost any semi-dry day.

Old Prototypes don't have to look bad... Here's proof of that.
