The New FFR 3-Link Suspension Assembly |
| Three-Link Suspension for the Factory Five Racing 65 MK II Roadster | |
Designed to improve handling of all solid axle FFR Roadsters, the new FFR 3-link replaces the stock Mustang suspension with a bolt-in package that handles better and costs $550 complete. The new suspension was designed as an intermediate step between the stock Mustang 4-link suspension and the high-end Factory Five Independent Rear Suspension. If you have upgraded your solid axle suspension, all of the FFR upgrade parts work with the exception of the upper control arms (which are replaced in the 3-link package). What you get: The suspension package comes with all welded axle brackets and tubular steel framework, upper control arm, pan-hard bar, battery relocation kit, and all fasteners needed to install into your FFR 65 MK II Roadster or Spec Racer. All steel parts come powdercoated in gloss black and the entire package costs $550 plus shipping. |
| The New FFR Suspension Performs Better in Several Ways. | |
Increases anti-squat, improving hook-up and traction
Eliminates the characteristic four link suspension bind Lowers the roll center and prevents lateral axle movement Included upper control arm allows for adjustable pinion angle |
| This suspension was developed and tested extensively on the road course and at the dragstrip. A FFR car equipped with this package was race proven at the following tracks: | |
| New Hampshire Int'l Raceway, NH August 2001 | Northeast Replica Challenge |
| Gateway International Raceway, IL | Run and Gun competition, September 2001 |
| Summit Point Raceway, WV | NASA/FFR Spec Series Race, October 2001 |
| Virginia International Raceway, NC | Speedtrials Open Track, December 2001 |
"I have always driven our cars hard, but with a good amount of respect. The biggest change I felt while driving the car with the new three link was that it made me feel more confident while driving close to the limits." |
