The big news is quite simple. The new MkIII allows customers to use parts from many more Mustang donor cars. Engineered changes make the kit able to accept parts from 1987-2004 Mustang GT donor cars. If you have a 1987-2004! Mustang GT donor car and our kit you’ll have everything you need to build your new roadster! MkIII changes began with the audacious plan to make one COMPLETE kit able to use running gear from 1987 all the way to 2004 Mustang GT’s. If you have a 1987-2004 Mustang GT and our kit you have all the parts you’ll need to build your car. There are major differences in the running gear between the production years of 1987-1995 vs. 1996-2004. Despite the incredible variation in parts, the team was able to make the kit “universal”, able to adapt easily to parts from all those model years. Restrictions 1999 and Newer Mustang Cobras cannot be used (at least not ALL the parts) due to the non-interchangeable IRS suspension parts and the fact that the plumbing on supercharged engines from those years affect the design and fitment of some of the other parts. People who choose build their cars with all-new parts are not affected. When ordering your kit, all we need to know is whether or not you’ll be using a 4.6 engine (donor or no donor is all the same). The 4.6 requires us to supply you with a custom oil pan, a hydro-boost mount, and some other small 4.6 related parts. Now it’s more simple than ever, new parts or used, old fox body 5.0 or newer 4.6 powered ponies… The new Factory Five Mark III can do it all! Check out the full pack-list (everything that comes standard) for new MkIII kit. There is one important distinction with the new MkIII kits. The parts that you need if you are using a 4.6 engine compared to any others is slightly different. The pack list for the 1987-1995 kits vs. the 1996-2004 kits are almost identical with the exception of box 11. We’ve included the packlist for box 11a and 11b to show you the difference. |
