Test Drive a Factory Five!

One of the challenges of buying a kit car or component car is that you rarely get a chance to actually drive the car yourself. Companies expect you to take their word for it, "Don't worry, the car drives great"... In many cases that is absolutely true.  In other cases it is not. But if you're like me, you might prefer to judge the cars abilities for yourself, firsthand.

All of us here at Factory Five know how well the cars perform and how dead-nuts reliable they are, but we don’t want you to have to take our word for it.  We started thinking about ways in which we could let people explore the performance and daily driving manners of the cars safely.  We've got a few suggestions for you...

Ask a Customer:  One of the best ways to find out how the cars work day in and day out is to talk to someone who owns and drives one.  Call us to get referrals to talk directly with other customers to find out how their cars drive.

You can also use the internet customer forums to get honest un-biased opinions.  The truth is that there are now so many FFR owners around the country that there's probably someone near you with a car willing to talk and maybe show you what they've done.  Check out the FFR owner's group forum at www.ffrog.com.

Visit Us at the Factory:  While we can't promise you a test drive, we will let you crawl all over the cars, sit in them for as long as you want and ask the engineers here what they did building their cars, how they handle every day duties and what, if any, challenges they have had.

All our guys can answer questions like how sore your back and knees will be after three hours in the saddle.  Oh, you wanted to USE the car?  How about when you get stuck on the freeway in a one-hour traffic jam in 95 degree summer heat?  Will the car take it in stride or will they have to med flight you out of there due to heat exhaustion?

There are so many folks out there that spent tons of money on building the perfect hot rod only to find out that their 100 point, absolutely authentic show car is virtually unlivable due to heat, ergonomics, clutch effort, noise levels, or something else they didn't consider when they embarked on this ambitious project.

Whether you buy a Factory Five or some other brand, do yourself a favor and get a ride in the finished product.  All of us here at Factory Five Racing want you to buy the product that works the best for you.  Try one on!
