FFR Spec Car Wins First
Place in 100 Mile Enduro Race!
Congrats go out to FFR
Spec Car driver John McIver from Northville, Michigan.
John won first place in the Labor Day NASA 100 mile Enduro at
Beaver Run Raceway in Pennsylvania. John beat a serious
field of racers driving some reeeeal fast race cars (like a race
prepped viper, a Porche 911 GTR car and others).
The story is a great one. John wrecked his spec car the
previous week and still managed to make the NASA event with a
combination of duct tape, cable ties and jigsaw.
John made the grid without a qualifying time and had to start in the
last position. Over the course of the 100 mile race, he worked his
way up to first and finished the race a full three laps ahead of the
next fastest car.

Preparing for the enduro
John is a great example of the typical FFR Spec car pilot. He
works as a trouble-shooter at Ford Motor Company during the week.
John will be vying for the National title in Las Vegas on November 8
& 9 this year.
All of us at FFR send out a big
thumbs up to John and a hearty congrats on the win!
