Huntington Beach Cruise-In updates

Awesome raffle prizes and a tribute to Dick Smith

With our annual westward pilgrimage, and the 2nd annual Huntington Beach Cruise-In, little over a week away, we thought that we would give everyone an update of what we’re planning.  We also want to let you know about some cool developments with sponsor and raffle prizes.  We have some really awesome raffle giveaways to announce, courtesy of our sponsors

Lastly, owing to the events of this past week, we are planning on holding a memorial tribute to Dick Smith.

All of these sponsor companies have gotten on board to support our customers and several magazines have confirmed that they will be in attendance to cover the event.

The schedule of events hosted by FFR President David Smith:

3:30     FFR Awards at the Knotts Berry Farm show

4:00     Departure Cruise to Huntington Beach

6:00     VIP and magazine editor introductions

6:15     Prize Raffle Drawing and Car Show Awards Presentation

            The rules are simple:

Every Factory Five entering the Cruise-In lot gets one (1) raffle ticket

(there is no other way to enter the raffle – period.)

You must be present to win the raffle (and only one award per person, so you can’t have someone hold your ticket while you run to the bathroom)

6:30     A Moment of Thunder in tribute to Dick Smith

The Dick Smith that we knew was never the kind of guy who would want a memorial moment of silence.  So instead of silence we’re going to have the exact opposite.  At 6:30 all FFR's present will simultaneously start our engines and rev 'em up loud enough for Dick to hear. We want Dick to be ale to hear this in heaven, so we want it LOUD.  (sure, it might compromise our ability to stay there, but we cannot think of a more fitting tribute to our friend Dick.)
