FFROGs invade Knotts/Huntington Beach
Customers join FFR for best replica shows ever |
| |
|
 |
| |
|
 |
There are a number of reasons why we enjoy
heading west to the
Knotts
Berry Farm replica show every spring.
Obviously, the southern California weather is always nicer than
springtime in New England (and any chance to get some sunshine on
our pasty white legs is a good thing). Most important to us,
however, is the chance to meet up with our customers on the West
Coast again, and to see the progress and changes they’ve made on
some of the best Factory Fives worldwide. |
| |
|
As expected, we were not disappointed by the
FFROG turnout at this year’s show.
Even with perennial award winner
Russ Thompson’s FFR
sitting it out this year, the field was jam packed with show
winners.
Three
stunning customer GTMs made it out to join
our LS7 powered rocket,
and seventy-five Roadsters also joined the Factory Five dominated
show field. |
 |
| |
|

 |
We applaud the best cars in the Factory Five
paddock (as chosen by a dedicated team of FFR owners) – they were
probablysome of the best in the entire show field.

As the Knotts show was wrapping up, nearly all
of the FFROGs in attendance headed down to the beach for the
second annual Huntington
Beach Cruise-In.
Huntington Beach is the kind of laid back beach
community where you can let your hair down and relax a bit more.
The ocean breeze makes it an enjoyable place to hang out for the
evening, with plenty of dining options nearby. |
 |
| |
|
 |
The highlight of the evening was the
Moment of Thunder tribute
to racing legend Dick Smith, but along with the tribute we hosted a
giveaway raffle with killer products donated by the sponsors of the
event. Everyone drove away with something in tow – one customer was
even lucky enough to win a brand-new
TGB Scooter! |
| |
|
Customers also judged the cars at the
Cruise-In, so a select number of customers won awards at that show
as well.

Clearly, the Huntington Beach event is a much
more popular event, and based on the customer feedback, we will make
this a more primary event for 2008.
All of the customers who drove to Huntington
Beach received a free T-Shirt and Dash Plaque, and all of the extra
T-Shirts were sold to customers for a donation to Cystic Fibrosis.
Although e cannot thank everyone who donated for this purpose, we do
thank everyone as a group.
Stay
tuned for more details for the 3rd Annual Huntington
Beach Cruise-In. |
