Join us this year as we return
to beautiful and historic Virginia International Raceway for the 2005
Factory Five Nationals Event! We’ll be there in force along with a huge
crew of FFR faithful and their cars. Host VIR raceway will serve as the
headquarters and staging ground for the Nationals Car Show and FFR-NASA
Challenge Series Race Finals.
The 2005 event has something for everyone
and is planned to be a laid-back and fun get together. The event plans
are expanded from last year, with a Friday Poker Run for FFR street car
customers. The Saturday car show, awards dinner, and raffle drawings are
also being expanded, with more awards and a dinner Saturday evening at Sir
Richards Restaurant (no-one will miss the franks and beans at the track).
FFR customers will get to sample the race course at modest touring speeds
during the lunchtime parade laps. Lastly there will be great track action
on the roadcourse as racers vie for the 2005 FFR Challenge Series
Championship. |

Concourse Car Show
Join us for
this Factory Five Nationals tradition. Last year’s 2004 event here in
Virginia attracted over 100 of the nicest FFR show cars on the East Coast
and a few West Coast and Deep South travelers. The world-class VIR
facility will serve as the host for our concourse car show (FFR customers
will be joined by other makes owners this year!) and a vendor area. This
year we have the entire paddock area closest to the front straight-away as
our car parking area. The staging and pit area for the Challenge cars
will be right next to the street cars. |

Challenge Series Championship Race |
 |
| |
|
The 2005 FFR-NASA Challenge Series is in
its 6th season and this year’s championship race promises again
to be the best ever. With an estimated 30-40 cars, representing all
regions of the country, racers will be competing for the over-all national
title. The 2005 finals will be an all-out wheel-to-wheel battle
extravaganza. The track at VIR has some excellent spectator areas for
photography, as well and some of the most scenic track-side parks
anywhere. |
| |
|
|
| |
|
With over 250 Challenge Series cars
delivered to customers around the country, the 4th Annual
Nationals Championship race promises excellent depth and a variety of
talented drivers.
On the famous VIR circuit Factory Five
Challenge racers will slug it on Saturday for the exhibition race and on
Sunday for the 2005 Challenge Series Title race. Returning this year is
defending Champion Stuart Pumpelly who will be chased by season stand-outs
like West Coast drivers Spencer
Sharp, Bobby and James Bondurant, Donnie Edwards, the Lawson brothers and
So Cal wild man Langley Kersenboon.
The East Coast contenders include fast
guys like newcomers Tony Buffomante and Chris Mitchum, as well as veterans
Bryan Dobyns and Rob Mau, Brian Cates, and Brian Cunningham.
Eligibility and rules:
2005 FFR-NASA rules will be
enforced. NASA will make ALL determinations according to NASA event and
class rules. Factory Five Racing employees are eligible to race but their
standings don’t count for points.
NASA is the official sanctioning body of
the FFR Challenge Series and is solely responsible for management of the
race. Racers must register with NASA in advance of the race and must pass
pre and post race tech inspections according to the NASA-FFR series
rules. NASA is the final authority on any race related disputes and
decisions. |
