" Judge John goes Legally Insane..." May 24, 1999
Pike's Peak Climb

Our story begins in an unlikely place. Factory Five Racing customer John Phillips gave us a call the other day. "By the way"… he mentioned, "I’m standing on top of Pike’s Peak"…

John, who is a Judge in southern Florida built his FFR #1152 back in 1998. The trip began in an unlikely way. John was scheduled for a week of vacation to attend a driving school that was cancelled at the last minute. With a week of vacation already on the board (and a few hundred of Americas most Wanted waiting for him to get back in his robes), John decided to take his vacation anyway, rather than reschedule.

John got in his blue and white FFR roadster

(turned RV) and headed west. In addition to making it to the snowy top of Pike’s Peak, John toured around the south land all the way out to Texas and back.

John made stops in Amarillo Texas at the famous Cadillac ranch as well as camping out in Woodland Colorado. All told, John racked up more than two thousand miles on his trusty FFR car. John may have been the inspiration

Kudos to John for keeping the FFR spirit alive on the open road!
