We have always done our best to communicate price changes to our customers. We have also worked as hard as possible to hold our prices down and absorb increases from our suppliers internally. The team here has done a great job and now, despite our best efforts, we are facing the third price increase in our ten years of business.
As mentioned in our 2005 Newsletter we are making a marginal increase in the price of roadster Mk3 kits and we want everyone to get a chance to buy at the old price before we implement the change. The price increase will be effective January 15, 2005.
The current price of the Mk3 kit is $11,990 and after Jan 15 the price will be $12,990. Other FFR kits are not currently affected. Orders placed on kits before the Jan 15 deadline will be at the old price but customer delivery dates cannot be more than 6 months from the date of order.
We are almost ready to launch a modified financing program to help offset the effects of this increase. We are also looking hard at offering a paired down version of the kit to enable folks to get started without a large up-front amount.
