Mk III Roadster Production Update

Jim and Debbie Paxon's AWESOME Patriotic tribute to 9/11.  Mark II Roadster

Ever since we took the wraps off our Mk III project car (at SEMA 2003 and the 2003 Nationals) many of you have been wondering about when this new model would go to production.  The prototype MkIII was shown in order to collect customer feedback and ideas before the final version configuration was determined and went to production.  For those of you who are not up to speed we have been working on a new updated version of our roadster model that can use later model Mustang donors (specifically 1995-2004), in addition to the tried and true 1987-1993 running gear.  This new model is called the MkIII (lower right).

As we have been getting closer to bringing the Mk III into full production many customers have been asking us “Should I order a current MkII roadster or wait for the MkIII version?”  Until now there has not been a clear date for the MkIII so we have been unable to really give people the facts and dates that would allow them to make a decision.  That is no longer the case.

Production has now begun on the new MkIII.  While we have been manufacturing MkII and MkIII versions side by side thru the interim period, we are now in full production of the MkIII.

Mark III Availability News

Major changes on the MkIII are related to the kit configuration and chassis changes required to utilize the late model 1995-2004 running gear.  Big news is quite simple, if you have a 1987-2004 Mustang donor car and our kit you’ll have everything you need to build your new roadster!

Additional changes to the kit include a stronger frame, accommodations to use wider rear tires and a whole slew of smaller changes (like a removable transmission tunnel and new fuel cell) aimed at making this kit easier to order, easier to build and easier to service.

MkIII roadster kits are in full production.  You can now place a deposit on a MkIII kit, with full details to be released soon.
