Factory Five 818 Joins GTM at Experience Aviation Non-Profit

ea-irvingWorld-record setting pilot Barrington Irving was the youngest and the first African-American pilot to fly solo around the world.  Barrington’s charity organization named “Experience Aviation” teaches under-privileged inner-city youth valuable skills and self-confidence.  The Factory Five GTM was their first automotive project and the car has a rematch race against a jet fighter (the first race the GTM overheated behind the jetwash of the plane).

In addition to the GTM, Experience Aviation has just ordered a new model 818S for the kids to build.  The 818 will join the GTM in a publicized exhibition race to be announced shortly.  Check out some photos from the class.  This is a great cause and if you would like to donate or sponsor them, click here to visit their website.

Barrington and his staff at Experience Aviation have awarded more than $1.5 million to students scholarships and have accrued over 500,000 hours of student class instruction!
