See Dick Smith’s #198 at the PierPosted on March 25th, 2008
CSX 3035 to be one of the stars at the California Cruise-In
Just another reason to join us at the Huntington Beach Pier on April 26th – Dick Smith’s legendary #198.
Along with the 100+ customer cars that will be making the trek in from all over the West Coast, we’ll be bringing the car that Dick piloted to 198 mph at Daytona Speedway back in 1967.
Dick never coddled his famous car, and we know that he would drive the car in for the show personally if he were still around to do so.
We’re also planning the 2nd annual Moment of Thunder tribute to Dick this year, and if you were there for it last year, you definitely won’t want to miss it this year.
You’ll also be able to check out our new Mk3.1 Roadster, a couple of GTM supercars, our Bondurant Tribute Coupe, and Molding Manager Nate Johnson’s newly reskinned orange Mk2 Roadster.
We can’t wait for the 3rd annual California Cruise-In, and look forward to seeing you there as well.
One of our customers recently sent us a reprint of an interview with Dick Smith dating back over 25 years. It’s a great read, and gave us some fresh insights into our friend and hero, Dick Smith. We wanted to share it with you guys as well.
