Ohio Cobra Club donates $100,000 to Cystic Fibrosis Foundation

Factory Five trailer donation to club aids in raising money for charity

 

Every year, a portion of the proceeds from the London Cobra Show (LCS) (an amazing event coordinated by the Ohio Cobra Club (OCC)) go directly to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and since they are also one of our favorite charities, we were more than willing to assist the organizers of the LCS in raising money.

Their recent request of a trailer, so that they could transport their annual raffle car, was met with enthusiasm at Factory Five.  We found an awesome enclosed trailer, put the graphics on and got it out to the OCC before this summer’s LCS.  The new trailer was put into action immediately as the Ohio Cobra Club took their raffle car to various shows, races and other car events in order to sell raffle tickets.

 

The $100,000 donated to the CFF was the largest amount in LCS history yet their goal is to double that amount for 2008.
 

In a thank you letter to Factory Five, Suzana Mueller (CFF Special Events Coordinator) wrote:
 

On behalf of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, thank you for your continued investment in the mission of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.  Your gift and pledge of $100,000 for this year is remarkable.  These funds will go a long way to helping us reach our ultimate goal, finding a cure for cystic fibrosis.  Through raffle sales for the exquisite 2007 Roadster to sponsorships and donations it is my pleasure to acknowledge that the event was a tremendous success due to the generosity of your members, sponsors, participants, donors, and countless others.

This year, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation currently has more than 25 potential therapies in our drug discovery and development pipeline, many of which could have a significant impact on the disease and any one of which could lead us to the ultimate cure for CF.  To make sure that these projects advance as swiftly as possible so that new therapies can get from the laboratory into the hands of those who need them most, we need your continued support. We have the technologies, the talent and the tools to bring an end to cystic fibrosis.

 

With the generosity of friends like you, we know we can make it happen. Again, on behalf of all families living with CF and the friends that love them, thank you for your major gift.
 

We thank the Ohio Cobra Club for their efforts in behalf of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, as well as all of those who attended the London Cobra Show or contributed in any way to this worthwhile charity.

 

Along with their donation to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, the Ohio Cobra Club also gave generously back to the city of London, OH with gifts to the Police Department and the Fire Department, as well as the Madison County DARE program.
