Roadsters Rack Up the Mileage

Canadian Customers take their Roadster on a couple of road trips

Factory Five Canadian customers packed up there bags and brought their cars on a couple of road trips and racked up some killer mileage.

Last summer, after their Roadster was completed, Steve and Ash Baird were joined by Monique and Travis Baker for a 2 week road trip from Calgary to San Diego and back again.   Together they drove through, 8 States, 2 Provinces totaling 4400 miles.

They had many interesting adventures along the way meeting up with other Factory Five customers.  According to the photos and their story, we see them attending a build party thrown a builder in San Diego, a wine tasting in Napa Valley and  visiting Eagle Field an old World War II Air Force Base in Fresno.

“If people want proof that you can use these cars, this trip should be it” – Steve Baird

This past September five couples took their Factory Five Roadsters to Radium Springs in British Columbia.  The colorful string of Factory Five Roadsters ranging from MkI to MKIII tackled the Rockies as they traveled to the show.

While at the 800 plus car event, they raised money for a local children’s charity by allowing voters to pick their favorite car for a $1 donation, after more than 100 votes the winner was Lydon and Nadine’s orange Roadster with red stripes.

P.S. Something definitely worth mentioning is during the build of their roadster last summer Ash was a true wrench head!  Steve tells us she stripped down and rebuilt the engine and rear end, modified the foot boxes and trunk, and installed all of the sound insulation and carpet in the interior.
