When taking delivery of his FFR ’33 Hot Rod in December of 2008, Factory Five customer Gil Goldstein of Asheboro, NC, couldn’t possibly have known just how stunning his project would turn out. Or did he? |

| Gil has been involved with building cars since the 1970s but it was his brother that introduced him to Factory Five. His brother intended to purchase a Type 65 Coupe, but that all changed when we launched our “33 Hot Rod. Instantly they knew that this was the car they had to build. After ordering his kit, Gil ventured up to our facility in Wareham, talked with the tech guys and toured the facility. He laughs now, saying he realizes that most customers probably tour FFR first and then make a purchase. |

His stunning Colbalt Blue ’33 Hot Rod is powered by a Ford Racing 392ci crate engine, that produces 475hp. Gil put his experience to good use in the fabrication and customization of his kit. From rerouting all the cables to give the foot box a clean, sharp look to applying a sound deadening spray to the interior of the car. Complete with heat, air conditioning, and removable hardtop, Gil can drive his car year round and in any weather! |
| Gil’s car began making rounds this year at the Charlotte Autofair even before it was completely finished. Once the build was completely done, Gil experienced that euphoric sense of accomplishment that you get only when you’ve built something of this magnitude. But that didn’t satisfy his hunger to build more and put the skills he gained from building this ’33, into his next one! We would like to congratulate Gil for his killer build and we look forward to seeing pictures of his next build! |
