Todd has been a
Factory Five cult member probably ever since there was a Factory
Five and his excitement hasn’t wavered a bit since his first
interactions with us.
He first visited us in early 1997 to pick up his first project.
That was “back when Dave and Mark still answered the phone”, he told
us recently. |

His first adventure into the world of Factory Five Racing came with
FFR 1184 in 1997. That pre-Mark 1 was all he really needed in
life, it seemed, until he had a run-in with David Smith. He sold
his pride and joy immediately and started making plans for his next
Factory Five. Now he’s finishing up his fourth Factory Five, and
loving every minute of it. |

Like most of our
customers, he “has as much fun building the car as driving it”. But
Todd doesn’t dwell on the project – his first car was built in just
10 months, and then driven for nearly seven years afterwards,
driving the snot out of it and racking up tons of mileage in the
process.
“I made enough money on it (the last FFR) to build my Mk3 (F5R
1004848RD). In between, I’ve turned a lot of people on to FFR and
even helped out building two MK 2’s which made my latest build a
breeze”. |

“I loved my
first one but man there is no comparison to this one!”
“The four wheel
power disc brakes and power steering along with the smooth power of
the four cam engine is amazing. My wife wouldn’t drive the first
one because of the non power brakes and steering and of course the
intimidating sound of the Vortech supercharger always scared her,
but she loves driving this one, it drives like a production car.” |
