After 12 years of doing this, it takes a lot to impress us and are we ever impressed with Jay, the boys at RT Rods and SW Snake Works. The guys at RT Rods are building an "over-the-top" Mk3.1 Roadster and documenting each stage of the build on their website. Check out the detail work in many of these photos here . The crew at RT Rods do everything from base chassis and suspension work to engines, drivelines, full interiors and completed paint work and trim. Recently, the guys sent me some photos updating their progress and I figured I would share them with the Factory Five community. Big thanks to Jay for all the good work and for keeping us posted on his progress. The guys have talked to me about doing a Type 65 Coupe next and after seeing their quality and attention to detail, I'm anxious to try and make this happen.
