Grassroots Motorsports took a Factory Five Challenge car along with them to Willow Springs Raceway in California, along with a cadre of similar costing budget race-cars.  Editor Scott Lear did the driving in FFR customer (and 25 hrs of Thuderhill veteran) Karen Salvaggio's red and white Challenge car.

Karen's FFR Challenge car recorded the fastest lap times of all the cars with her behind the wheel.  The car also ran the fastest with editor Scott Lear at the helm.  The Challenge Car got huge praise for vintage looks, drop-the hammer V-8 performance and open car fun.
