Racing FFROGs grace cover of Kit Car Factory Five Coupe and Roadster shown dicing it up at Mid Ohio Raceway
As a part of the weeklong festivities of the 2007 London Show, was the opportunity to take your car out to nearby Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course and see what it could do. Getting into any racing situation is a risk for most replicas because their cars simply are not designed to handle high speeds, let alone controlling an apex on a tight corner or handling chicanes and esses. Factory Fives, on the other hand are bred with race gas and have the structural rigidity to make a day at the track, well, the fun day it is intended to be. |

It’s no surprise to us, then, that the majority of the replicas at Mid-Ohio for this two-day event were Factory Fives.
Kit Car magazine put together a great four-page article on the track event, with plenty of photos of the competitors, for their November 2007 issue. A few pages further they also feature more of the events of the 2007 LCS, including an image of our own Jim Schenck, dodging cones in his Challenge Car, on his way to the autocross fastest times of the day.
Gracing the cover is an image of two Factory Five’s screaming down Mid-Ohio’s front straight. At over 100 mph Joe Anitra (Bloomingdale, IN) is piloting his beautiful red Type 65 Coupe, while Ben Hranac (Dearborn Hts, MI) is drafting in behind him in his Mk2 Roadster. Congratulations to cover models Joe and Ben, as well as all of the FFROGs listed in these articles. |
