August 2010 Issue Highlights Factory Five Funded Start-up |

About three years ago, Factory Five Racing
invested in a new start-up company run by Harvard MBA and fresh grad Jay
Rogers. Jay had just won the Harvard Business Plan Competition
with his idea for an open-sourced custom car company based on a
micro-factory concept that delivers design, development, manufacturing,
sales... the whole enchilada in one place. Factory Five Racing initially helped with engineering support, and a facility to work in, as well as technically assistance in design and sourcing. This month's SEMA News highlights the progress of this great new company and their exciting new car, the Rally Fighter. Huge congrats to Jay and his team who have since moved to their new facility in Phoenix, AZ. The company is planning an open house event at the end of this month.
