Any
endurance event is a mental and physical challenge. The
25hrs at Thunderhill, the world’s longest closed-course
motorsports competition, on the other hand, is a test of
survival. This race pits man and machine against
durability, stamina, perseverance over other competitors,
weather conditions and the innate desire to come to rest.
The
Racing 4 A Reason team brought three vehicles
to this power provocation last December, including a
Migliori prepped GTM. Even without any real shake-down
time to sort the car out, the GTM ran as high as fourth
place, and finished an impressive 11th in class.
A remarkable feat for any car, and this despite some major
obstacles. |

Excerpted from Grassroots Motorsports:
This Factory Five GTM was completed just hours before the
start of the race. Transaxle troubles and a sick driver put
them out of the running, but for a fresh car, it was
impressive. |
