Factory Five Scores Big on the West Coast
AHA and Huntington Beach Cruise-In Recap

Factory Five Racing traveled across the country to California and attended two events this past weekend.  First stop was AHA Fun Under the Sun held at the NHRA Museum on the Pomona Fairgrounds.   The day was busy and FFR Tech guys Dan and Rick answered questions and discussed the cars with the crowds of interested people! Our booth was impressive with seven killer customer cars lined up.  These seven guys stepped up and went out of their way to help us out this year.

We would like to thank them for their support:

Lang Kersenboom, 33 Hot Rod
Paul Mastroianni, Mk2

Paul Scott, Mk2
Tom Kendall  GTM
Jeff Miller, Mk3

David Hodgkins  Mk3

Keith Thompson. Mk3

AHA put on a great show and we left there with a couple new awards under our belt.  Over 150 cars were judged and we took home four awards.  Langley Kersenboom, Paul Mastrianni, and Nick Seftku all took home Best in Show Awards at the event.  We also received the prestigious Good Manufacturing Practices Award and is our second time receiving this award and we remain the only manufacture to receive it twice!  It feels awesome to be recognized for doing something you love to do, and we are proud of our accomplishments as well as our customers.  We are also stoked to have new trophies for the case in our showroom here in New England!

The weekend did not end there and the following day Factory Five customers all met at the Huntington Beach Pier for another day of fun and awards.   We had the pleasure of hosting  Roadsters, GTMs Spec Racers and a Type 65 Coupe on Sunday for the 5th California Cruise-In and what a great turnout! The skies were sunny; the blue ocean was right there and smiles on everyone's faces. We were on the strand this year and a LOT of locals were checking out the cars. Participants drove in from all over California, and were joined by folks from Arizona, Nevada and Utah. Karen Stein showed up in Roger's car and was given an ovation by the owners when Mike Brasfield introduced her to the crowd. A "Moment of Thunder" tribute was done at noon and rocked HB! We dedicated it this year to both Roger Stein and Dick Smith and both of them were smiling down on us at that moment.

The car show was great and after all the judging was done, these lucky attendees received some impressive awards

A special thanks goes out to Glenn Evans for providing highly coveted commemorative key chains and Mike Brasfield for bringing his DJ setup all the way from Arizona and to Karen Salvaggio and David Hodgkins for their mentoring and organizational skills! We couldn't have done it without them and appreciate their help tremendously!
