Factory Five Shines at Carlisle
GTM Wins Best Kit in Show

The Carlisle Import and Replica show is always a great time to check out the entire Factory Five lineup without making the trek to Boston, and this year was no exception.  Factory Five’s Tech Crew was there with some new hardware including the new MK4 Roadster and the MK4 rolling chassis, housing the very same 427 FE race engine that powered Dick Smith’s #198 to victory for over 30 years.

Also among the cars on display were customer Bill J’s GTM and the supercharged Aluminator-powered ’33 Ford Roadster featured by Ford Racing.  Many people came from far away just to see the GTM in person and were pleased with what they saw.

The show field boasted a number of other Factory Fives, including Bill Noeth’s beautifully built GTM.  Bill’s car had a spectacular paint job with some custom machined aluminum accents and the full complement of Factory Five’s carbon front splitter, carbon rocker extensions and carbon rear wing from APR Performance.  The car really stood out above the rest and earned the award for Best Kit in the show!

Tony Dimemmo’s 4.6L DOHC MK3 Roadster was featured in the invitational hall and showed well.  This configuration is also a great driver with smooth power, independent rear suspension, power steering, and power brakes with ABS.

It was a fun weekend of exchanging stories with old customers and talking to new folks considering a build.  Being out at shows like Carlisle is a great way to match names and voices to faces of the people who are building and driving Factory Fives, and we’re looking forward to doing the same at our upcoming Open House event on June 12th!
