13th Annual Open House Recap
Gen 2 GTM Unveiling Draws Big Crowds

Our 13th Annual Open House went off with a bang, and after 13 years of putting on this event, it keeps getting bigger and better!  There were over a hundred Factory Five cars all lined up in the parking lot decorating it with a rainbow of colors.  It’s always fun to compare and contrast each car customized to every customers liking.  We really appreciate everyone who takes the time to drive their car in and hang out with us for the morning here at the factory.

This year we had a plethora of activities for all to enjoy. There was a group tour given by Dave Smith, a dyno for guys to put their money where their mouth is and see what they were really working with under their hood, and of course plenty of hot dogs and Kool-aide for everyone to fill up on.

One of the most exciting events of the day was the new Gen 2 GTM reveal.  Our guys put endless hours of blood and sweat into having the Gen 2 GTM ready for Open House.

They could not have done it alone and had help from some close friends of ours who were also present at Open House f.  General Motors, Carl’s Collision, Chem Spec Paints, SolidWorks, Mendeola Transmissions, and Romarine Composites all had a huge hand in manufacturing this killer car and helping with the new product launch.  As the cover was taken off the car, everyone gasped and cheered as they were taken back by the beauty of the new GTM.

Not to be ignored, our award winning ’33 Hot Rod displayed the new soft top we will be releasing soon.

To finish off an awesome day of cars and camaraderie we had an awards ceremony where all the cars present were judged in several different classes.  Congratulations to everyone who won an award!

One very special award The Robert Feddersen Memorial Factory Five Racing Legacy  Award that was started a couple years ago was awarded to Paul Mastroinni.  This award is given to a person who typifies what it means to be a friend to the Factory Five community.  It only made sense to give the award to Paul who has helped guys on more builds than anyone can count and spent countless hours helping others.  Sadly, Paul passed away a short while ago and the award was accepted on his behave by his son, and close friends.  Paul will truly be missed and there will be a void in the FFR family that will not be filled.

The morning was filled with excitement and fun for everyone who attended and a special thanks to everyone who helped plan the event and who came out for the show.  Every year we look forward to this event and we already can’t wait until next year!
