Right Coast Nationals Report

Syracuse Show Scores High Marks

The crew from Factory Five Racing along with our customers attended the 2009 Right Coast Nationals car show in Syracuse, NY.  Despite predictions to the contrary, the show was the largest and best attended in Right Coast history.  The number of cars in attendance throughout the fairgrounds was huge and the quality of the customs were astounding.

Our crew was able to park our large show transporter indoors (!) and brought along a sample of each of our cars and some mechanical demo rolling chassis.  Veteran photo journalist Chuck Vranas was in attendance all weekend and took some nice photographs of the event.  Chuck was the author of the current Street Rodder magazine build-up series articles on the new FFR '33 (on news stands now).  Long standing New England hot rodder John Weston coordinated a stunning Friday night car show extravaganza complete with snow mobile racing and some fun burnout contests.

In the booth next to us was Adam West and Julie Newmar (the original Batman and Catwoman).  Adam West came over to our booth to check out the cars and meet the crew.  The original Batmobile was also on display.  The crowds were quite heavy both days and when you attend the show, you realize how true it is that this is largest Right Coast show of the year and certainly one of the largest rod and custom shows on the east coast.

The Mayor of Quahog, Adam West, was in the booth next to FFR and came over to check out the Hot Rod.

Reception of the new '33 continues to be good and it's fun to show people the car first hand who have only read about it up to now.  Following our attendance this year of NSRA and GoodGuys shows, the Right Coast Nationals show continues Factory Five Racing's efforts to compete head-to-head with other Hot Rod and Street Rod product companies in what is a brand new and exciting market for us.

We will be attending the National Street Rod Association's Nationals from August 6-9 in Louisville, KY and look forward to seeing some of you there!
