California Dreamin'     Join Us at Riverside
FFR Owners Group to Rally at Riverside Raceway Museum

Factory Five Racing President Dave Smith is scheduled to speak at the SolidWorks 2010 World Conference in Anaheim, CA this Monday, February 1st.  Southern California Factory Five customers Karen Salvaggio and David Hodgkins have arranged  for Dave and local FFR owners to enjoy a day at Riverside Museum followed by go-kart racing in Corona and dinner at the LoneStar Steakhouse in Corona.

So... if you want a good excuse to call in sick on Monday, here are the details:

Text from Factory Five Owner's Forum:

Everyone (owners, potential owners, builders, etc.) is invited to spend the afternoon and evening with Dave Smith and fellow owners/builders as we visit the Riverside International Museum (and Dick Smith's legendary #198), experience some non-contact sports (ya, right!) at the Pole Position Raceway, and then share dinner together at a local watering hole.....Note: Each event is a pay as you go affair, but we've worked to build in lots of fun while keeping costs down.  Join in for any/all of the activities.  Here are the details:

The afternoon will begin with a private tour of the Riverside International Automotive Museum, where famed vintage Cobra* driver and Factory Five Racing's great friend, Dick Smith's legendary car #198 is on display, alongside six Gurney Eagle racecars, and perhaps the greatest collection of Maseratis (street and racecars) in the western hemisphere. The museum is normally closed on Mondays, and we are thankful for their generosity in opening their doors for this special event. Entry: $5 optional donation to the museum, to keep this jewel of automotive history thriving.

Afterwards, we will take a brief trip down the 91 Freeway to the Pole Position Raceway, where we can face off for some indoor karting fun. Choose to race, or just come along to spectate (no entry fee). Two race Pole Position Challenge cost: $45.  FFROG's will have a standing start, with a special race lineup based on a secret criteria as determined by Dave. Bribery, cajoling, and groveling is encouraged.

To finish the evening, we'll jump over to the Lone Star Steakhouse in Corona for some good food and libations, and where we can enjoy each other's company and share all things FFR!!!

If you are interested in joining us, please RSVP to Dave or Karen.
