Factory Five Racing Type 65 Coupe Sets World Record at Bonneville
SoFast Racing Breaks 200 mph!

Five thousand square miles of pure racing heaven, the Bonneville Salt Flats put Factory Five Racing’s Type 65 Coupe to the test, and it passed with flying colors.

On September 17, 2008 a Factory Five Coupe broke the land speed world record topping off at 216.9 mph.  Built by Farrah Snook and Russ Schultz from SoFast Racing, and driven by Korey Bligh, the Coupe competed  in class C blown fuel modified sports with a 347 Ford small block.

SoFast shattered the record set by the original Coupe which stood at 186 mph for the last forty three years.

SoFast Racing has been attending the Bonneville Salt Flats since 2006 and this year stole the show when their Coupe sped off into the endless horizon.  We would like to congratulate all the guys at Sofast Racing for their unbelievable accomplishment and for building the world’s fastest Factory Five Type 65 Coupe.
