Factory Five Shines at SolidWorks World 2010
Annual CAD Software Convention Highlights Factory Fives

The 2010 SolidWorks World Conference was held this past February in Anaheim California at the Anaheim Convention Center.

Solidworks is the worlds leading CAD and Surfacing software company and each year the company gathers thousands of engineers, customers, and users to showcase the company's products and highlight interesting companies who utilize Solidworks Software. This year Factory Five President Dave Smith addressed the assembly and spoke about the ways in which Factory Five Racing uses Solidworks in all of the company's designs.

Dave, along with Solidwork president Jeff Ray and Product Manager Jeremy Luchini, introduced the assemble crowd to the FFR electric hot rod that debuted a few months earlier at the 2009 SEMA show.

Other notable speakers were famous movie director James Cameron (The Abyss, True Lies) and Hewlett Packards Tom Salomone.

Following the conference was a dinner reception where more than 5,000 attended a private party with food, music and... Eleven killer FFR cars!

Factory Five customers Karen Salvaggio and David Hodgkins organized a great group of So Cal customers for the evening car show. Even better was the private tour of the Riverside Auto Museum attended by a good number of area customers. While at Riverside, we were able to get a first look at Dick Smith's famous number 198 in its new home.

After the auto museum, we went to a local karting track in Corona California where more than 20 FFR crazies raced for glory and fun late into the night.

The event was a great success. The presence of the Factory Five cars made a tremendous difference to all spectators.

Below are some YouTube videos of customers at the event talking with FFR President Dave Smith about their cars and their experience with Factory Five.
